Land of plenty

This banana plant in our front yard is finally bearing fruit. It is so amazing to us how this big red flower peels back to reveal other tiny flowers with baby bananas attached. It is so much fun to watch the dramatic progression take place every day. We also enjoy seeing the hummingbirds feast on the nectar that literally drips from it.
