Jacob's Kindergarten - Children's Day Celebrations

The Day of the Child is huge here in Mexico. In Jacob's kindergarten, they did something special every day last week. Here they are having bike and scooter races. Can you pick out my little marshmellow-head in the first picture?

He did not win, but he made it to the finish line with a smile on his face. Which made me proud.

Hee,hee - marshmallow head :) What's the purpose of the Day of the Child? Christy's hair looks really pretty! We cut bangs for Laura last summer, liked it for awhile, and have since grown them in again (well, it's still in the process). Is your school year drawing to a close? Ours still has a ways to go - always gets a little harder to concentrate when the outdoors are beckoning!

Great pictures! Christi looks really cute with bangs. I'll have to show that picture to Kristen. :)

It's kind of like Mother's Day and Father's Day, except it's Children's Day. They usually get presents and have parties at school and go on an outing to the park. It is just a day to spoil the kids. We tell our kids every day is Children's Day, but this year we did send them to the cornerstore to buy a lollipop during their morning break from homeschooling, which they thought was great.
